Welcome to your first email for the new school start of 2022! We are thrilled to welcome some new families that are joining us and so excited to see some of our families return as we start to settle into the Pre-School routine from 05 September 2022!
So, obviously we are a little ahead of time sending this out but we wanted to send some information ahead of the school start and allow some opportunity to connect before the mad rush on the day.
There is lots of information included in this email, however, from this email on our Newsletters will go up on our NEW WEBSITE! So you will always be able to catch up with date reminders etc if these emails get lost in your inbox! Please know that any specific or identifiable information may be blurred out from the issue uploaded for confidentiality.
As we head into what can sometimes feel like an intimidating time either starting education or coming back after some weeks away, please know we are always here to talk to. We want your transition into/return to education with your child to be an enjoyable and exciting experience for you both!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Best Wishes,
Vicky & The Team
STAFF
Please see below for all of our wonderful Staff Members, their job roles and any additional skills to note.
All of our staff members are full time, Monday - Friday.
Vicky: Pre-School Manager & First Aider Rosie: SENCo Lead & First Aider Lexie: Early Years Practitioner & First Aider Emma: Early Years Practitioner (awaiting First Aid training)
Your child will be assigned a Key Worker within the first couple of weeks to support and work 1:1 with your child. More information to follow.
We have sadly said Goodbye to Sasha over the summer, we wish her all the best in her new role. In the immediate, Vicky will be standing in and working with the children!
We need to update/obtain family contact information and specific information relating to your child.
In the next few days, your phone number will be added to our new mobile and you'll be added to Parents WhatsApp group.
This group will be to send quick-fire information such as 'Don't forget its school photos today!' or 'Don't forget about Saturday's fundraiser at The Triangle!'.
This is to help us communicate with Parents quickly or last minute without needing to send emails.
This group is not for sending specific information about individual children.
Anything related to your child should still be communicated separately (whether that is written or verbally).
Invoicing
Within the first couple of weeks you will receive your invoice for Term 1 at Pre-School. You will be asked to pay your invoice within 15 days of the date on the invoice.
However, we understand that with the cost of living rising, all bills are becoming increasingly worrisome. If you will struggle to pay your Pre-School invoice in a lump sum, we may be able to split your payments to support you.
This needs to be discussed and agreed before doing so, so please email via the link below if this is something you may need to do.
If invoices are not paid within the due or agreed time frame, regrettably, your child will not be able to attend until this is completed.
Please note:We have a new bank account and the bank details will have changed from the last invoice you paid. Please ensure you pay to the new account from Term 1 onwards.
During this academic year, we have huge aspirations to make The Triangle even better to support your child's learning and development! We also want to be able use this space comfortably during the autumn and winter seasons.
We would love to create outdoor teepees like the picture below, amongst lots of other ideas!
That being said, if you have any/know of anywhere that is donating any outdoor materials to help us create our vision(s), we would love to hear from you!
We would welcome:
Pallets
Corrugated plastic
Wood (planks/rounds/stumps)
Water butts
Plant pots/seeds/compost
We would also love to hear from you if you have or know of any services that we could use in the future and if you have any time or skills that you could volunteer!
We know that a SEND pathway can be daunting, whether you are waiting for an assessment or have received a diagnosis. We understand that sometimes things can feel very overwhelming and at other times you may feel isolated and like you are the only one going through this situation.
As of September 2022, there will be a SEND Parent Group that anyone on a pathway is welcome to join. The group will be a way to connect with others from Pre-School who are in a similar situation, to share information, tips, tricks and chat.
The group will be informal and have no involvement from Pre-School staff.
Vicky will invite families on a SEND pathway individually. Please know there is no expectation of parents to join, or join immediately. No information will be disclosed unless the specific family has agreed.
We would love to know your thoughts on this!
Some last bits of information to note:
Please remember we are a nut free setting. Nut bars/butters/products should NOT be included in lunch boxes
Please avoid sending in any toys/items on a day-day basis with your child
We would be really grateful for any snack donations during the Pre-School year. You can see a list of what we are able to take here!
We welcome you to attend the Annual General Meeting at the end of September 2022. This is an opportunity to learn about the Pre-School as it currently is and our aspirations moving forward.
